Q: Do you do online booking?
A: WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA does not offer users an e-booking service. WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA is an independent guide which offers comment, opinion, and news on restaurants, nightspots, food and drink in South Africa.

Q: Does it cost anything to be a registered user?
A: Registering as a user on WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA is free of charge.

Q: Why should I register on your website?
A: Registered users on WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA receive the benefits of a user profile, user account, monthly newsletter, and e-mail notifications. Registered users have the ability to comment on all content pages and create board postings at their convenience. A user profile allows you to browse the website according to your favourite restaurants, nightspots, food, drink, blogs and boards pages and creates a platform from which you can monitor your activities over time. Being a registered user automatically qualifies you for competition entries on the website.

Q: Why do you not list menus like similar sites?
A: WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA does not list menus or wine lists as it is impossible to keep such information up-to-date and accurate. Listing such information often leads to confusion for users and can cause dispute over prices or specials at restaurants or nightspots between management and customers.

Q: How does your rating system work?
A: The WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA establishment rating system is entirely user generated thus giving users a voice on the web. Restaurant and nightspot rating is open to all users and it is not necessary for a user to be registered to rate. However, it is only possible for a user to rate an establishment once per visit to the website.

Q: How do I post a comment?
A: To post a comment a user must be registered and logged in. Posting a comment is simple and can be done on all content and listings pages in the ‘post a comment’ box at the bottom of content pages. All comments are subject to user flagging and therefore can be deleted if deemed vulgar or inappropriate.

Q: How do I post topics on your boards?
A: To post a comment a user must be registered and logged in. Posting a board topic is simple and can be done on any of our four boards subject pages (Restaurants, Nightspots, Food and Drink) by clicking the ‘Add a Topic’ link and following the instructions. All topics are subject to user flagging and therefore can be deleted if deemed vulgar or inappropriate.

Q: Where do you get your recipes?
A: Recipes are collected, developed and adapted from a wide range of sources. However, all content is published with the permission of third parties and in accordance with copyright law. The identity of all recipe developers/authors is indicated on the recipe pages. Developers can be contacted via contactus@quimedia.co.za .

Q: Are all your recipes tested before you publish them?
A: All recipes are tested by the developers before they are published by WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA. We do not accept responsibility for any errors in published recipes that are submitted by a third party.

Q: How often do you publish recipes?
A: Recipes are published as and when they are made available to WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA. In house recipes are published on a monthly basis following testing.

Q: Can I use your content/photos on my website?

Q: When searching for restaurants why do some appear at the top even though they are not relevant?
A: WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA reserves the right to use any space on the website as an advertisng platform including the right to retail links on search page results. All sponsored links are clearly indicated and are placed so as keep user disruption to a minimum.

Q: How do you classify your restaurants and nightspots?
A: All restaurants and nightspots are classified according to the wishes of the establishments listed. WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA does not arbitrarily assign classification fields for establishments thereby allowing establishments the greatest freedom in describe themselves.

Q: How often are your restaurants and nightspots updated?
A: Restaurant and nightspot information is periodically updated in six month intervals. However, due to the scale of the database WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA places the onus on establishment owners to keep their pages up-to-date by providing establishment owners with an online management tool for their listings.

Q: How do I list my restaurant?
A: Listing a restaurant is free and easy. Simply click on the Get your place listed link at the bottom of all pages on WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA and follow instructions.

Q: How much does it cost to list a restaurant?
A: WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA does not charge restaurants to list. WHAT2NIGHT.CO.ZA is not a directory but an independent restaurant guide.
